It's the dancing danger.
Meet the Australian woman denied compensation after falling over on a cruise ship because her shoes didn't have enough tread. Now she has been left to foot the medical bills.
Here's what P&O Cruises had to say:
P&O Cruises is sorry that Melyssa's cruise holiday was marred by this incident. Apart from general correspondence that mentioned medical costs, to date P&O Cruises has received no formal claim for compensation on Melyssa's behalf nor were we made aware that she had sought private hospital care at her own cost.
P&O Cruises carried out a thorough investigation into the incident at the time including obtaining witness statements.
We are also confident that expert medical care was provided on board the ship. Following the results of the investigation, P&O Cruises is strongly of the view that it is not responsible for the incident.
Passenger safety is a priority and P&O Cruises believes that appropriate steps were taken by crew members to alert patrons to avoid a spilt drink while it was cleaned up.
