Politicians have proposed to introduce a new tax which could mean drinks will cost us even more at the checkout.
The drink container tax proposal suggests items which come in bottles or cans – like milk, wine, soft drink and water – should cost 20 cents more.
The 20 cents would cover a 10 cent deposit and a handling fee.
To get the deposit back , the containers would have to be returned to a recycling depot.
