Lesley Maxwell says it's never too late to get the body you want. The 56-year-old personal trainer has a figure that would put most 20-somethings to shame and she insists other women can follow in her footsteps.

Her new book, Get The Body You Want, details how you can look good at any age. It includes exercise tips and tricks as well as healthy eating guidelines and tasty recipes.

Lesley advises her clients to follow her "One Carb @ a Time" philosophy. When thinking of a meal, you have to follow three simple steps.

1. Choose a protein to build you meal on. It could be chicken, fish, steak, lamb or any sort of lean meat.

2. Choose one type of carbohydrate like brown rice, wholegrain bread, quinoa or sweet potato.

3. Choose a source of fibre such as green vegetables, a salad or fruit.

Your lunch or dinner could end up being lamb curry with brown rice and beans or chicken, quinoa and green salad. There are a number of delicious recipes that stay within the boundaries of Lesley's diet.

Her online training guides provide you with a range of different exercises you can do to get tighter and tauter without even leaving the house! You can read more about the fitness packages here.

You can purchase Lesley's book from her website: www.ouifitness.com.au.
