Motorists around the country are being stung close to $1 billion every year by carpark operators, with some charging up to $200 a day — simply because they can.

Parking fees and fines are rising as much as 10 percent every year, with Westfield leading the charge in 2012 by taking away its 'first three hours free' arrangement.

The Rocks

Bond Store One – Interpark – all day parking approximately $17

City North

Sydney Opera House - all day parking approximately $16

City South

Entertainment Centre – Wilson Parking – all day parking for $10

Weekend

Wilson Parking have two flat rates that cannot be missed.Both flat rate approximately $9

Wilson Parking Citipark – $9 flat rate

Wilson Parking Darling Park – $9 flat rate
