By ninemsn staff
Air date: Thursday, June 13, 2013

When it comes to cutting household costs, Cath Armstrong knows how to do it.

The self-described cheapskate says we’re paying too much to clean our homes and this is how you can save.

The World's Best Shower Cleaner
Combine 1 cup dishwashing liquid with 1 cup warm white vinegar. Put into a spray bottle. Spray the tiles and shower screen with The World's Best Shower Cleaner and wipe over with a wet cloth. Rinse and dry.

The World's Best Window Cleaner
Mix 1/2 teaspoon of dishwashing detergent, 3 tablespoons of vinegar, two cups of water.

Miracle Spray Cleaner
1.5 litre water (1 cup boiled), 300ml vinegar, 60ml dishwashing liquid, 25ml eucalyptus, 3 dessertspoons washing soda. Mix washing soda with about 1 cup of boiling water to melt, add remainder of ingredients, pour into 2 litre bottle.
