It is the cactus plant that has been credited for amazing weight loss results. But now researchers have been brought in to test the appetite supressing claims of the plant known as caralluma.
Victoria University's Associate Professor, Michael Mattei, was engaged by vitamin giant Swisse to test the plant product on 33 overweight adults.
Researchers say those taking caralluma lost on average 6cm off their waist, while those without it lost only 2cm.
