So what are the big tips?
— Enter the 25 words or less competitions. Many people find these too hard so you've got much better odds of winning.
— Collect barcodes from products – because this takes effort, not as many people enter.
— There's a growing number of Facebook competitions. Entering them can be as simple as 'liking' a page.
— Use small envelopes when posting entries – they're pushed to the bottom of the barrel faster, which is where they are generally pulled from.
— For mobile phone SMS competition, send your message right on midday – for some reason that's the luckiest.
