Belinda Russell joined the A Current Affair team in November 2007 after returning from London where she was a reporter for Sky News.
Her television career began in 1999 at Channel Ten in Brisbane. In the three years she was there, she worked as a journalist in the newsroom, presented the weather, hosted a local lifestyle show and a national show about Aussie Rules football called ‘Totally Footy’.
She moved to London at the end of 2002. Here she worked as a producer for the 24 hour news channel Sky News. The following year she became one of the few Australian journalists to be given an on-screen role on television in the U.K.
Belinda covered stories ranging from breaking news to live hosting of world film premieres.
Stars she’s interviewed include Tom Cruise, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Antonio Banderas, Michael Caine, Britney, Pink, Elton John, Angelina Jolie and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Belinda moved back home to Australia in October 2007 and now lives in Sydney with her husband and their daughter.
