Imagine hoeing into hotdogs, dining on dim sims and chomping on chocolate, only to discover you're losing weight.
It's called the hotdog diet and it's one of the unhealthiest weight-loss programs around.
Diet founder Jennifer Sherer says she lost 24 kilograms on the diet.
"I tried some popular named diets and they normally involved restrictions which I found very tough they impacted on my social life, so you couldn't go out for dinner or have a drink and were eating packaged meals that were so small I could have eaten 10 of them," she says.
Jennifer's controversial claim is that you can swap good food for junk food as long as they have the same fat and calorie count. She says people would be surprised by the number of calories in so called "healthy food".
"I was going through a calorie count book and I came across a hotdog that was so low in fat I went out, bought it, tried it and thought 'God that's delicious'.
"I just started changing foods around, going here's a hamburger I can eat that's got less fat than a typical steamed fish and vegetable meal," she says.
Nutritionist Shane Bilsborough is horrified by the hotdog diet, saying it's a shocking solution for weight loss.
"A hotdog contains no vitamins, no minerals, minimal fibre. A sandwich contains loads of vitamins, minerals and fibre and is what we consider nutrient-rich. The hotdog is nutrient-poor," he says.
Shane says that dining solely on junk is a recipe for disaster.
"The lack of nutrition in this type of food can increase the risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and some cancers," he says.
Jennifer admits she is not a nutritionist or a dietitian.
"I will never knock a nutritionist or a dietitian, they are great in organising healthy, nutritious meals, but some of those meals are high in fat," she says.
